Omnia Opera, like many bands who evolved out of the UK's free festival scene, would have past into the realms of psychedelic folk-lore if it hadn't been for the persistance of Delerium's Richard Allen - who spent two years tracking them down and persuading them to reform.
What made him embark on such a quest? Well Omnia are a festival legend in the making, an underground outfit who delighted audiences with their energetic and superbly crafted blend of agit-space rock and who, with no contact with the music 'biz' sold thousands of self-produced tapes. Thankfully you can now check out their magickal chemistry, without resorting to a two - year journey, as the reformed band have recorded two albums for Delerium. The last, "Red Shift" is perhaps one the finest space-rock albums of all time.
