When, in 1994, Electric Orange released their self titled debut to an unsuspecting world, little did anyone know what they were starting. Commencing their cosmic 'lava lamp blowout' Kraut Rock journey, Electric Orange soon gained a huge cult following in native Germany and accross Europe. As the Kraut Rock revival came and went, Electric Orange took their sound way beyond any previous barriers. Today, with their roots in early '70s German underground music such as Neu, Kraftwerk, Faust, Can and Amon Düül II, but their heads firmly in the current dance consciousness, they have taken these influences and twisted them together with easy listening, dub, jazz and electronic music, into a highly original and focussed "Cyberdelic" musical space. | |||
